Coverage M (medical payments) covers minor injuries sustained by tenants and their guests (if the property is not primarily owner-occupied) or the policyholder’s visitors (if the property is owner-occupied), such as a friend spraining an ankle on your stairs. Coverage M can help pay for their immediate medical expenses, such as a trip to the doctor’s office or an ER visit.
How Much Coverage Do I Need?
Coverage M (medical payments) is optional on the standard DP-3 policy. When selected, it offers between $1,000 to $5,000 toward the medical expenses of others.
