When to submit a claim

When to submit a claim

Should you experience significant damage exceeding your deductible – or if there is potential liability involved, which could lead to further financial implications, then a claim should be reported. Assess the situation carefully and consult your insurance agent to ensure filing a claim is in your best interest.

Claims Expectations

Our years of experience providing homeowners insurance claims services has taught us how stressful a loss can be to you and your family - but it doesn't have to be. Knowing the general steps of the claims process will provide you with the reassurance you'll be back to the place you were before the loss quickly.

Report your Claim & Adjuster Assignment

Once you report your claim, a claim number and an adjuster will be assigned. Note: Should you require emergency mitigation services, request a list of preferred vendors from your carrier at the time of reporting.

Property Inspection

Your adjuster will contact you within 24-48 hours to schedule an inspection at a mutually convenient date and time. Note: Photos and measurements of the damage to your home will be obtained during inspection.

Estimate the Damages

Inspection results are reviewed by your carrier's team of claims professionals and estimates are gathered.

Review Complete

A final review of your claim is completed and submitted for processing.

Coverage Determination and Closure

A claim representative will contact you to discuss the outcome of your claim. Documents detailing the coverage determination will be sent.
